Founded in February of 2021, this club is managed by the joint OSA-SPIE McMaster Student Chapters. Our goal is to gather students interested in optics and photonics, promoting events and networking opportunities with other Optical Society of America (OSA) and Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) Chapters around the world.

During the spring of 2021, we held our first event, an SPIE Optical Alignment Techniques Course in collaboration with several other Canadian OSA and SPIE Chapters. We are excited to organize more events and hopefully meet everyone in-person soon!

There are three pillars that guide our administration: Inclusion, Support, and Social Impact & Communication.Our club is open to graduate and undergraduate students from any program that are interested in Optics and Photonics and that would like to participate in our events!
