The Graduate Students Association (GSA) at McMaster University offers a variety of sports and recreation opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. These activities foster teamwork, promote wellness, and create lasting memories.
Softball League
The GSA’s Softball League has been a McMaster tradition since 1969. Open to all faculty, students, staff, and community members, this league runs during the summer months and is perfect for those looking to enjoy the outdoors and engage in friendly competition.

Register as an individual or as part of a team.
All participants must complete a waiver form prior to playing.

Soccer League
Since 1987, the GSA Soccer League has been a staple of campus recreation. Games are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at various fields on campus, including Ron Joyce Stadium, Alumni Field, Track Field, and the 10-Acre Field.
Team Requirements:
Teams must have 11 players, with at least 3 female players on the field at all times.
All participants must complete a waiver form prior to playing.
