McMaster Iranian Graduate Student Society (MIGSS)

McMaster Iranian Graduate Student Society (MIGSS) is a cultural and social group that brings together Iranian graduate students at McMaster University to foster a sense of community, support, and connection. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where Iranian students can share their experiences, celebrate their heritage, and build meaningful relationships during their academic journey. We organize a variety of events throughout the year, including cultural celebrations (Nowruz, Yalda Night), networking meetups, academic support sessions, movie nights, and outdoor gatherings. MIGSS also serves as a platform to help new Iranian graduate students transition smoothly into academic and social life at McMaster and in Canada. While our primary focus is on the needs and interests of Iranian graduate students, we welcome all students who are interested in Persian culture, language, and community to join our events and activities.
